Greetings fellow Legionnaires!
I hope the month of May was a blessing to you and your family. If you were unable to attend the Spring Hill or Hillsdale Memorial Day Ceremonies you missed two wonderful events! The rain stayed away long enough to for the community to honor our brave men and women who gave the ultimate sacrifice keeping our country free. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all who participated including: Post 350 Legionnaires, SAL members; the Schowalter family for taking charge of the honor guard and providing the Bugler; the Ladies Auxiliary who arranged the Spring Hill Ceremony and guest speaker, U.S. Representative Kevin Yoder, the Spring Hill Police Department for being a part of the honor guard; The Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts, and Venturing Crew members for providing our color guard, and for Melton Welch and his son, Daniel, for arranging the Hillsdale Memorial Day Ceremony and delivering a moving testimony. It was humbling to see both communities rally together to pay homage to our fallen comrades.
The communities of Spring Hill and Hillsdale came together for Memorial Day 2016 on Monday, May 30th to honor our brave men and women who gave the ultimate sacrifice keeping our country free. We would like to thank the following for assisting us with this event: (more…)
