Commander’s Message:

Greetings fellow Legionnaires. I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and New Year’s Celebration. This time of year reminds us just how important faith and family are. It’s a time to remember that it is better to give than to receive. American Legion gives us that opportunity to give back our time, talents and treasures to Veterans who are in need. As we begin the New Year I encourage you to get involve in our activities and events in the coming year. Make a difference in a Veteran’s life and their family.

A reminder about our temporary meeting location. Until further notice our normal meeting location will be at the Life Spring Church, Suite 118 in Spring Hill. The address is 206 North Webster Street. The room is right next to Gambino’s Pizzeria.

Hope everyone is enjoying our new website, http://www.kslegion350.org. I’d like to thank everyone who has given us recommendations. If you find something that is wrong, or outdated please let us know. You can also take advantage of the American Legion national website, and/or 2nd District’s website. We also have use of the City’s bulletin board at the Civic Center. If you don’t have internet access please come to our meetings and you will hear what correspondence we received the prior month. You can also stop by the Civic Center as see what is posted on our bulletin board. Keep informed, and encourage others to do so as well. http://www.legion.org/, http://www.ksamlegion.org/.

I’d like to thank all the members who have renewed their membership for 2017. Thank you for sharing your time, talents and treasures with our Post and our community. For those members who have not renewed your membership, or did not receive a renewal notice please contact me at (913) 530-4598, or use the link below to renew your membership online. If you know of any veterans who are not members talk with them about joining. Bring them to one of our meetings. I want to thank the members who have been attending our monthly meetings and encourage those who have not to put it on your calendar to start. Our next meeting will be on Tuesday, February 7, at 7:00pm in Suite 118 at the Life Spring Church, 206 North Webster Street, Spring Hill, KS. Hope to see you there. http://www.legion.org/renew
